Taft College has also appointed Parchment Transcript Services as the designated agent for processing and sending official transcripts, including electronic EDI transcripts, and PDF transcripts; which are produced using this service. The PDF transcript can be certified as unaltered by uploading the file to the company&#8217;s website that is provided during the delivery process. Parchment Transcript Services has been granted the authority to deliver all such transcript requests on behalf of Taft College and to respond to any inquiries regarding these transactions.<\/p>\n<h3>Ordering Official Transcripts has several types of services and costs:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Services:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Regular Service:<\/strong> All regular orders placed and authorized will be processed within 5-7 business days. Transcripts will not be processed on weekends or holidays.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Rush Service (transcript only): <\/strong>Rush orders placed and authorized by 10:00am will be processed within 2 business days.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Rush Service (with attachment, CSU GE or UC IGETC): <\/strong>Rush orders placed and authorized will be processed within 4 business days.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><strong><em>Note: Some educational institutions require the official transcript to be sent directly to them. Please verify all\u00a0information from the recipient\u00a0before ordering.<\/em> <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Costs:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>REGULAR SERVICE:<\/strong> The first two copies (lifetime)\u00a0are FREE and will be deducted at the end of the order if eligible.\u00a0Additional copies are $6.75 per copy thereafter.<\/li>\n<li><strong>RUSH SERVICE:<\/strong> Is $8\u00a0in ADDITION to the REGULAR SERVICE FEE per copy (Total may vary).<\/li>\n<li><strong>RUSH SERVICE<\/strong>\u00a0with <strong>FedEx\u00a0MAILING:<\/strong> Is $8 RUSH\u00a0SERVICE FEE plus the cost for the FedEx\u00a0MAILING FEE\u00a0in ADDITION to the REGULAR\u00a0SERVICE FEE per copy (Total may vary).<\/li>\n<li>Additional charges for Operator-Entered orders through Parchment Transcript Services in addition to the aforementioned College fees.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">If you are paying with a <strong>check or money order<\/strong>,\u00a0it will need to be made\u00a0out to<strong> Taft College<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>There are 2 ways to order an official transcript\u00a0from Taft College:<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Option 1:\u00a0Internet Request for all students who attended Taft College or WESTEC\/Taft College\u00a0<u>beginning<\/u>\u00a0Summer 1990<\/h4>\n<p>Click here <a href=\"https:\/\/ct-prod-ssa.taftcollege.edu:7443\/CTPROD\/twbkwbis.P_WWWLogin\"><strong>CougarTracks<\/strong><\/a> (link is also located in the upper right hand area of\u00a0our Taft College\u00a0web page header.)<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Enter your Taft College Student ID or SSN (no spaces or dashes)\u00a0and password (If you have forgotten your password, click the \u201cforgot pin\u201d option and answer your security question if you have set up your account previously.)<\/li>\n<li>Click on \u201cStudent\u201d on the left menu<\/li>\n<li>Click on &#8220;Student Records&#8221; on the left menu<\/li>\n<li>Click on\u00a0&#8220;Order Official Transcript&#8221; last link on the\u00a0left\u00a0menu (For <strong><u>unofficial<\/u><\/strong> &#8211;\u00a0click on &#8220;Academic Transcript&#8221; and then click\u00a0the &#8220;submit button&#8221; to review your academic records.)<\/li>\n<li>When ready, click on \u201cBegin order\u201d button to place your request for your official transcripts (If this page does not open, you may need to use a different browser or change your pop-up settings.)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h4>Option 2:\u00a0Internet Request for all students who <u>only<\/u>\u00a0attended Taft College or WESTEC\/Taft College\u00a0<u>prior<\/u> to Summer 1990 or a\u00a0Third party\u00a0who has\u00a0a signed\u00a0authorization form\u00a0filed with the requester (dated within 60 days)\u00a0giving them\u00a0permission to\u00a0submit the\u00a0order on their behalf.<\/h4>\n<p>Click here <a href=\"https:\/\/www.parchment.com\/u\/registration\/33195\/account\">Parchment Transcript Services<\/a> to place the order requesting transcripts through Parchment Transcript Services.<\/p>\n<p>This will:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide\u00a0another option for placing\u00a0orders online.<\/li>\n<li>Have a way to\u00a0process payment with a credit card.<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate the authorization to release student records, as required by law.<\/li>\n<li>Provide e-mail or fax communication with\u00a0the requester\u00a0while\u00a0the order is being processed.<\/li>\n<li>Allow\u00a0the authorized requester\u00a0to submit\u00a0the request anytime day or night.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you do not have internet or cell phone web data you can have Parchment help facilitate your request. They will provide operator assistance if needed to place your order from 7:00am CST to 7:00pm CST Monday through Thursday and 7:00am CST to 5:00pm CST on Friday, by calling 1-800-646-1858 (<strong>THIS NUMBER IS FOR OPERATOR ASSISTANCE\u00a0TRANSCRIPT ORDERS ONLY<\/strong> and a minimal service fee will be added for this extra service.)<\/p>\n<p><strong>For any questions, please call our Customer Service Department at (888) 662-0874 between the hours of 7:00am CST and 8:00pm CST Monday through Thursday and between 7:00am CST and 6:00pm CST on Fridays. One of our representatives will be happy to assist you.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h4>TRANSCRIPT POLICIES<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Once orders have been placed or processed,\u00a0neither the delivery option,\u00a0how, when, where or who (student and\/or\u00a0authorized named\u00a0person)\u00a0to pick-up\u00a0can\u00a0be\u00a0changed.<\/li>\n<li>Transcripts that are mailed USPS First Class will\u00a0be\u00a0distributed\u00a0from either\u00a0Credentials Inc. that will appear on the status of your order\u00a0or Taft College\u00a0(transcripts with some attachments or CSU\/IGETC certifications)\u00a0that\u00a0does not give mailing updates through the status of your order.<\/li>\n<li>In accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974, records may not be released to a third party without the written, signed authorization within 60 days of the student.<\/li>\n<li>Student or authorized named person when order was placed must\u00a0provide picture I.D. to pick up transcript(s) in person.\u00a0 <strong>NOTE:<\/strong>\u00a0Pick-up transcript orders will be held for a maximum of 30 days from the date processed.\u00a0 If they are not picked up within the 30 days, student will be notified via email that their transcript(s) was destroyed and will not be refunded.\u00a0 A new order and applicable fees will be applied.<\/li>\n<li>The first two official transcripts a student orders (lifetime) are FREE of charge. Fee will be deducted at the end of the order if eligible.<\/li>\n<li>We do not process phone, fax or email requests due to student confidentiality.<\/li>\n<li>IGETC or CSU Certification &#8211; It is the responsibility of the student to order a general education certification with the transcript, we do not automatically certify. Once Taft College receives the order, we\u00a0will verify if the student is eligible to send with the transcript.<\/li>\n<li>Transcripts will include work In Progress for students enrolled in the current semester.<\/li>\n<li>There are different possible request options for the <strong><u>hold for grades<\/u><\/strong> or <strong><u>hold for degrees<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0at the end of\u00a0each semester.<\/li>\n<li>All final grades are available on transcripts approximately 2 weeks following the end of the semester.<\/li>\n<li>Official transcripts are\u00a0in a sealed envelope and\u00a0will remain official if the\u00a0sealed envelope is not opened. No reissue will be granted if opened.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Unofficial transcript for\u00a0Prior Summer 1990 coursework<\/strong>: An unofficial copy of a student&#8217;s academic record, reflecting <u>only the courses taken prior to Summer 1990<\/u>, can be requested by filling out in person or print the attached form\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.taftcollege.edu\/admissions\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2018\/01\/Unofficial-Transcript-Request-1-11-18.pdf\">Unofficial Transcript Request<\/a> and mailing it in.
