Cameron Brown can officially solve a 3&#215;3 Rubik\u2019s Cube in 7.62 seconds.\u00a0 He broke his personal best of 8.60 seconds in the summer of 2015 during Nisei Week in Little Tokyo.<\/p>\n<p>Today he runs his own Rubik\u2019s Cubing business, SpeedCubeShop, which he started at the age of 13. The business ships to cubers around the globe! Brown is ranked among the top 100 in the world for his 3&#215;3 solving.<\/p>\n<p>A sophomore business administration major at TC, Brown, 21, is a graduate of Stockdale High School. He lives in Bakersfield. He operates SpeedCubeShop as a full-time business. When he graduates from TC he will be transferring to California State University, Northridge.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-3121 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/oldweb.taftcollege.edu\/tcwp\/cougaronline\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/Screenshot_2016-04-03-22-51-34-1-300x290.png\" alt=\"Screenshot_2016-04-03-22-51-34-1\" width=\"300\" height=\"290\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-3115\" src=\"http:\/\/oldweb.taftcollege.edu\/tcwp\/cougaronline\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/Screenshot_2016-04-03-23-04-05-1-300x238.png\" alt=\"Screenshot_2016-04-03-23-04-05-1\" width=\"300\" height=\"238\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Brown answered a series of questions about the world of cubing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reporter:<\/strong> How fast can you solve a 3&#215;3 Rubik\u2019s cube?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Brown:<\/strong> \u201cI can average 10 seconds, but my personal best is 7.62 seconds.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reporter:<\/strong> Any advice to those just starting out?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Brown:<\/strong> \u201cPick up a competition grade cube from SpeedCubeShop and research a beginner method and slowly work your way up to more complicated methods of solving a Rubik\u2019s Cube.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reporter:<\/strong> How many Rubik\u2019s Cubes do you currently sell?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Brown:<\/strong> \u201cI currently sell well over 300 different models.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reporter:<\/strong> When did you first start cubing?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Brown:<\/strong> \u201c I first started cubing in 2008 when I was 13.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reporter:<\/strong> When did you start entering competitions?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Brown:<\/strong> \u201cI started entering competitions the year that I had learned how to solve a cube.
