Taft College Foundation’s $250 Amazon Gift Card Giveaways – Official Rules
ELIGIBILITY: Open only to persons who received a postcard mailer and meet the eligibility criteria to be admitted to Taft College as outlined in the Taft College catalog. Employees of Taft College or The Taft College Foundation are not eligible to enter or win a prize. All applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.
CONTEST PERIOD: The Contest entry period begins at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 and ends at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 10, 2020 (the “Contest Period”). One winner will be selected from those who register by phone and attend one of three, free, one-hour online financial aid information sessions during the Contest Period. There will be three total winners, one attendee from each of the three online information sessions. Each winner must have attended their respective online information session in its entirety, approximately one hour.
HOW TO ENTER: Limit One (1) Entry per person, per e-mail address, per phone number, and per household during the Contest Period via phone registration, regardless of whether a person has more than one address or more than one person uses the same address.
SELECTION OF WINNERS: Three total winners will be determined by random drawing to be held on or about Thursday, December 17, 2020. Winners will be selected from entries received during the Contest Period. Each potential winner will be notified via e-mail to their e-mail address submitted with each potential winner’s entry within one (1) week after the drawing. The drawing will be conducted by The Taft College Foundation, the judge of the Contest, whose decisions on all matters relating to the Contest shall be final. In the event that a potential winner is disqualified for any reason, Taft College Foundation may, in its sole discretion, award the applicable prize to an alternate winner selected at random. Prizes/Odds of Winning Prize: One (1) of One (1) Amazon Gift Card worth $250 for each of Three (3) online sessions. Approximate Retail Value (ARV) of single Prize: $250. Three Amazon Gift Cards valued at $250 each will be awarded totaling $750 in value. Overall odds of winning depend on number of entries received during the Contest Period for each of three online sessions. No prize substitution or cash equivalent of prize. No prize transfers allowed.
CONDITIONS: The Taft College Foundation reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest (or portion thereof). The Taft College Foundation also reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify the Entry of any individual. All federal, state, and local taxes on prize and any expenses not specified herein are the sole responsibility of winner. Should a dispute arise regarding the identity of the claimant, The Taft College Foundation reserves the sole right to determine the eligible party. By entering, entrant waives all rights to bring (and covenants not to bring) any claim against The Taft College Foundation, Taft College, or any others associated with this Contest. Entrants further agree to release and hold harmless The Taft College Foundation and Taft College from any and all liability arising from their participation in the Contest, or Taft College Foundation’s or Taft College’s use of any entry information. Any disputes that may arise hereunder shall be governed in all respects by the laws of the State of California without regard to the conflicts of laws principles of any jurisdiction. Venue with respect to any such disputes shall be had in the state and federal courts of the State of California.
PUBLICITY AND RELEASE. As a condition of entry into the Contest, except where prohibited by law, each entrant and each winner by accepting a prize grant to Taft College Foundation, all rights, title, and interest in to publicize, broadcast, display, and/or otherwise use the Contest entrant’s name, city, state, and biographical material (collectively, “Licensed Rights”) in any media for advertising and publicity purposes, without additional review, compensation, or approval of the winner. If winner does not respond to notification, or is not present when prize delivery is attempted, such prize will be forfeited. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by the Official Rules and the decisions of the judges, which are final and binding in all respects.

be received within one month after the end of the Contest Period.
