“The Night Before” Movie Review

“The Night Before” is definitely one of the funniest films to come out this winter season.

The movie is about three friends who have spent Christmas Eve together for the last ten years in an effort to one day attend the Nutcracker Ball (an exclusive private party that only those invited are aware ).

The main character Ethan, played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt (500 Days of Summer, Inception, 50/50), is a drifter in life with no career or family and has always depended on his two friends since his parents passed away ten years ago.

His two friends, Isaac (Seth Rogan) and Chris (Anthony Mackie) have since then taken Ethan under their wing as their own family.

The film is very entertaining and hilarious throughout its entirety, but it does have its edgy moments.  A lot of sexual content, both verbal and visual, are displayed throughout the film and make up most of the comedy bits.

Like many of Seth Rogan’s other films, this one involves a lot of drugs added to the satire of the characters night.

Based all the films content, this film is more suited for a younger crowd who can appreciate the humor in sexual content and inebriated humility.
